MISSION STATEMENT

The Orange County Culinary Charities™ inaugural three-day event features international and local top chefs in head to head competitions.

Its purpose is three-fold, “Talent,” “Teaching,” and “Tradition.” The “Talent” is to feature culinary artistry through demonstrations, lectures and food tasting. The “Teaching” is the community outreach objective by giving back to worthy charities.
And the “Tradition” to establish and maintain this flagship event in Orange County as the national mentor.

OCCC™ will crown the “The Laurel Wreath” to the top chef who designs a school lunch menu that pleases little people’s palate and follows nutritional guidelines, environmental standards and constraints established by school budgets.

The Orange County Culinary Charities™ celebration of food will present cooking competitions in both amateur and professional levels for cash prizes as well as celebrity chef teams competing for a special audience award, The Platinum Skillet.
In keeping with our teaching philosophy, Orange County Culinary Charities™ is dedicated to serving those in need by having beneficiaries of this event. Proceeds will benefit the nation’s children who need medical nourishment. Our goal for 2009 is to raise $1 Million for Autism, (GenerationRescue.org), $1 Million for Juvenille Diabetes, $1 Million for Pediatric Oncology (CHOC Hospital), and $1 Million to be distributed among (gchope.org), (SnowballExpress.org), (PictureMeHappy.org) and African outreach & orphanages.
